Surplus Public Auction Set for Feb. 13

Looking for a riding lawn mower, dump truck, forklift or fire truck?

You can purchase any of these items if you are the highest bidder at the city of Phoenix Surplus Public Auction at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the city's auction yard, 2820 S. 22nd Ave. (west on Lower Buckeye Road to 22nd Avenue).

In addition to these items, 47 cars, 17 trailers, 13 vans, 12 pickups, eight motorcycles, eight utility trucks, eight garbage trucks, eight carts, five loaders, four generators, three aerial bucket trucks, three flatbed trucks, two SUVs, two tractors, a sweeper, scissor lift, band saws, cement mixer, concrete cutter, fuel tankers, scrap copper, wire and metal, appliances, building materials, chairs, desks and much more will be sold.

Gates open to the public at 7:30 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. The auction starts at 9 a.m. The cashier will remain open until 2:30 p.m. the day of the auction. Items to be sold may be inspected at the auction yard from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, and Friday, Feb. 12.

People planning to attend the auction may register online two weeks prior to the auction and receive their bidder card when they arrive at the sale. Just go to phoenix.gov/invmgt, click on “online registration” and follow the instructions. Registration will continue at the auction.
